Here are some shots of the ornamental plants in our front yard. Above: can you believe we still have pansies in August? They get shade during the hottest part of the day. Behind them is a variegated canna lilly.
We have about 14 of these Simplicity roses blooming throughout the summer season.
This tropical red hibiscus is from a plant at least 40 years old. It lives in our greenhouse in the winter.
These brilliant orange gazanias really pop out after they open.
Our massive trumpet vine blocks the view of the street from our house. Hummingbirds love these flowers.
We also have yellow and orange Gerbera daisies but they are not as eye-catching as the red ones.
