The flowers above are bumble bee primroses, and they like partial shade. Just looking at these blooms makes me dizzy. I got the plant from the Michigan Bulb Company. I’m not sure that the beehive ginger (Zingiber spectabile) plants shown below are really flowers or springs that fell out of that car in “Back to the Future.” These are definitely some of the oddest inflorescences in nature. I have yet to locate a source for this plant, but I’ll keep looking.
