1994. A World of Curries. Food history/cookbook. Boston: Little, Brown & Co. With Arthur Pais.  This was a noble effort to combine food history and cooking, but the book was at least a decade ahead of its time and did not sell well.

A collection of recipes that represent the full range of curry dishes features recipes from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Sumatra, Africa, Punjab, the West Indies, and elsewhere that are interwoven with local curry lore and traditions.
